Harden fired in the Garden as he made 17 of his 38 shots, including 5-of-20 from three-point range, and went 22-of-25 from the free throw line as he posted a career-high single-game points total.
His 61 points were also a Rockets franchise record and the most scored in a single game by a player this season - Kemba Walker scored 60 points for the Charlotte Hornets on November 17.

With the Knicks trailing by two and holding possession for the last shot, Eric Gordon stole the ball from Noah Vonleh and fed Harden who streaked down the court for an easy lay-up that sealed a 114-110 win.
Harden's final basket allowed him to tie Kobe Bryant's record for most points scored in a single game by a Knicks opponent at Madison Square Garden. The 'Black Mamba' hit 61 at the Garden for the Los Angeles Lakers on February 2, 2009.
