Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic underwent successful surgery on his right knee on Wednesday and will be sidelined until the All-Star break.
An All-Star last season - Dragic appeared in only 14 of Miami's first 29 games this year - averaging 15.3 points, 4.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds.
The 32-year-old last played on December 10 in an away defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, while his team host the Houston Rockets on Friday night, live on Sky Sports Action.
Dragic's active streak of 198 consecutive games with at least one assist is the fourth longest in franchise history.
Justise Winslow, a versatile fourth-year forward, will presumably continue to start in Dragic's absence. Winslow is averaging 10.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 25 games (12 starts).
