Kyrie Irving went off for 40 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 121-114 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Irving's haul came in 39-and-a-half minutes on 17-of-33 shooting, including 5-of-10 from three-point land. The Celtics star also hauled down 10 rebounds to complete a double-double.
Irving got things going early with a turnaround jumper over JJ Redick and showed off his hustle by robbing a rebound from Sixers' center Joel Embiid to score an easy lay-up.
Irving then attacked Jimmy Butler off the dribble to score with a deft left-hand scoop before rounding off a 16-point first quarter with a three from the top of the key and a turnaround fadeaway over Embiid.
Down the stretch, Irving showed off his clutch shooting, first draining another jumper over Butler in the paint to tie the game with 19.7 seconds to go and force overtime.
Then, in the final two minutes of the extra session, he nailed two three-pointers, again over Butler - the second an unbelievable pull-up jumper - to seal victory for Boston.
