Jusuf Nurkic made NBA history by posting the first '5x5' stat line to include 20+ points and rebounds in the Portland Trail Blazers' overtime win over the Sacramento Kings.
The '5x5' is a stat line where a player records in excess of five points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks in a single game.
It is a rarely-achieved feat in the NBA. New Orleans center Anthony Davis scooped a '5x5' in a 121-120 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on November 21, 2018.
Before that, the NBA's last '5x5' came in December 2015 courtesy of Draymond Green in a Golden State Warriors' double-overtime win over the Boston Celtics.
Nurkic produced 24 points, 23 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and five blocks in 37-and-a-half minutes on the court as the Blazers outlasted the Kings to win 113-108 in overtime. The Bosnian center connected on five of his 10 field goal attempts and went 15-of-17 at the free throw line.
Until Nurkic's performance, no '5x5' in NBA history has ever featured in excess of 20 points and 20 rebounds. Houston Rockets' legend Hakeem Olajuwon went closest, posting a '5x5' including 38 points and 19 rebounds in a Rockets win over the then-New Jersey Nets in November 1993.
