A breakaway slam-dunk in the final seconds of the Rockets' most recent win against the New York Knicks gave Harden a total of 61 points in that game. It is a career-high for him, and a season-high across the NBA this year.

"In the Garden, I'll take it," Harden said.

In doing so, Harden also scored 30 points for the 21st consecutive game. Scarily he completed this before half-time!

He has scored 263 consecutive unassisted points, which might be the most impressive stat of them all. Harden doesn't need any help.

Harden, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are the only players with five 50-plus point games in a single season.

He is the first player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1963 to complete three 55-plus point games in a calendar month. He has scored at least 30 points in 21 consecutive games, the fourth-longest such streak in NBA history. Chamberlain was responsible for the other three.
