Nikola Jokic posted his 12th triple-double of the season and made a last-second tip-in to lead the Denver Nuggets to a dramatic 120-118 win over the Sacramento Kings.
The Serbian center supplied 20 points (on 7-of-17 shooting), 11 assists and 18 rebounds enabling the Nuggets to improve their season record to 39-18 and keep their grip on second place in the Western Conference heading into the All-Star break.
Jokic started the game in spectacular fashion, throwing himself an assist off the backboard and laying the ball home to take advantage of a Kings defensive breakdown, but it was the manner in which he finished the game that will prove most memorable.
With the game tied 118-118 and five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Nuggets guard Monte Morris found Jokic on a pick-and-roll.
The Nuggets big man drove the lane and lofted a floater over Kings' defender Willie Cauley-Stein that rattled the rim but refused to drop.
Jokic was the first to react, reaching to tap in his own miss with 0.3 seconds remaining and give the Nuggets a 120-118 lead.
That left enough time on the clock for the Kings to have the final say but Buddy Hield's three-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim to seal a dramatic Nuggets victory.
