Team captain Giannis Antetokounmpo top scored with 38 points in the All-Star Game but finished on the losing side

Team captain Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 38 points in the All-Star Game but ended up on the losing side.

Giannis played 27 minutes and connected on 17 of his 23 shots, including two of his six attempts from three-point land, and added 11 rebounds, five assists and a steal.

Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 20 in the first half as he powered his team to a 95-82 half-time lead.

He was on a dunk-a-minute pace to start the game. In the opening seven minutes, he had 16 points to fuel Team Giannis to a 36-22 edge, while assisting on three-pointers by Bucks team-mate Khris Middleton on three consecutive possessions.

Giannis' play earned his team a 20-point third quarter lead but he was powerless to stop Team LeBron erasing that advantage and eventually rolling to a 178-164 victory.
