Stephen Curry hit 10 three-pointers to lead the Golden State Warriors to a narrow 125-123 win over the Sacramento Kings.
Curry hit on 12 of his 23 field goal attempts (52.2 per cent), including 10-of-16 (62.5 per cent) from three-point range, as his 36 points - along with an equally-efficient 28 from Kevin Durant - enabled the defending NBA champions to break Sacramento hearts for the fourth time this season.
The Warriors have now handed the young Kings losses by two, one, four and five points in this campaign.
Two-time MVP Curry was hot early on, making a trio of first-quarter threes to get the Warriors off to a strong start.
In the second quarter, he took advantage of a perimeter match-up with Kings big man Marvin Bagley III to hit a step-back triple.
With Golden State trailing in the third quarter, Curry's shooting hauled them back into contention. He made his sixth three-pointer of the game after receiving DeMarcus Cousins' pass out of the post. A head fake bamboozled two Kings defenders before he connected with his seventh.
With seven minutes remaining in the game and score tied at 104 apiece, Curry drove down the court before drilling a pull-up three to give the Warriors the lead. His ninth triple extended the Warriors lead to 114-108 and he reached double figures from downtown with another step-back three over Bagley III with 1:43 remaining.
The Warriors held on for a victory that improved their season record to 42-16 and extended their lead over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference to two-and-a-half games.
