Devin Booker erupted for 59 points but could not prevent the Phoenix Suns from falling to a lop-sided loss to the Utah Jazz.
Booker scored a season-high 59 points, the second 50-plus-point performance of his career, on 19-for-34 shooting to lead the Suns. He made five of his eight attempts from three-point range and also shot 16-of-17 from the free throw line.
However, his Suns' team-mates were unable to offer him the required support as Utah rolled to a resounding 125-92 win, handing Phoenix their seventh loss time in their last nine games.
Booker opened his account with the first bucket of the game, a step-back corner three 27 seconds into the first quarter. He scored 18 of the Suns' 22 points in the second quarter as Utah took a 62-43 half-time lead.
What little resistance the Suns offered in the second half came from Booker. He connected with jump shots, a floater, a pair three-pointers, a put-back and a fadeaway jumper in the third quarter to take his personal tally to 47.
He added 12 more in the final period but the Suns were outscored 37-18 by a rampant Jazz.
