LeBron James threw down a thunderous dunk as the Los Angeles Lakers handed the Charlotte Hornets a loss to dent their playoff hopes.
James made 11 of his 19 shots in his game-high 27-point haul, making four of his seven three-point attempts. He also contributed nine assists and three rebounds as the Lakers rolled to a 129-115 win, their third victory in their last four games.
James' highlight play of the night came two minutes into the second quarter on a pick-and-roll play.
Alex Caruso used James' screen to work his way past Hornets defender Devonte Graham and dribble inside the three-point line.
As he did so, James rolled into the Hornets' where Caruso found him on the move with a pinpoint bounce pass.
James gathered the ball, took two steps and rammed home a vicious one handed-slam despite the attention of two Charlotte defenders. The basket gave the Lakers their first lead since the early moments of the first quarter and they didn't trail again the rest of game.
