Butler scored 10 points in the final 6:18 of the game as the 76ers resisted one final rally from the home team. He connected with a driving floater, a running lay-up and crucial free throws to keep Philadelphia in front.

Speaking after the game, Butler said: "My team had a lot of faith in me tonight. I told them I had to come out and redeem myself.

"We have to lock in on our end of the floor and not turn the ball over and continue to contest them [on defense]. I think we did a great job of it [tonight]. When we let our defense dictate our offense, we are such a great team. We can't let it be the other way around.
