London's Copper Box plays host to netball this weekend with benecos Mavericks taking on Team Bath in the live Vitality Superleague action on Sky Sports.

Both teams returned from the break for the Commonwealth Games with defeats last weekend, Bath falling to the league leaders and defending champions Wasps, while Mavs suffered defeat at Loughborough.

It was just a second defeat of the season for each franchise and Team Bath head coach Anna Stembridge is well aware that two more points will get the pair back on track in the race for the end of season semi-finals.

"Both teams will be looking to bounce back quickly and the fact it is taking place at the Copper Box, on the London Olympic Park, gives it an extra dimension.

"This will be our first regular Superleague fixture there and it is always a wonderful venue to play at."

Copper Box occasions have been well attended in recent seasons with the London Live rivalry between Mavericks and Surrey the selected fixture, but this year for 'The Battle at the Box' it is sibling rivalry that takes centre stage.

Sisters Kadeen and Sasha Corbin feature with Kadeen back from a Commonwealth gold medal with England to help Bath's play off push and Sasha part of the Mavericks squad.

How does the sport build on England's brilliant gold medal at the Commonwealth Games

The Round Nine action got underway on Friday night with a top of the table clash between Wasps and Manchester Thunder.

And it was Wasps who emerged victorious from a thrilling contest, eventually edging clear in the final minutes to record their 10th win on the season and stay perfect, inflicting just a second defeat of the season on Thunder.

Three games take place on Saturday with Sirens hosting the brilliant 'Bring Your Boys' initiative aimed at building on netball's popularity after the Commonwealths where Scotland continued their progress.

Sirens will be chasing a second win of the season when they host Surrey Storm who also have just one win under their belt so far.

Severn Stars are up to sixth after back-to-back victories but they face last year's runners-up Loughborough Lightning while Team Northumbria's search for a first win of the season continues when they face Celtic Dragons.
