Gabby Marshall and Razia Quashie have been confirmed as the latest recruits for benecos Mavericks as they target a return to the Superleague semi-finals.

A busy couple of weeks for the franchise has seen them already confirm the return of Sasha Corbin and Lindsay Keable as captain and vice-captain respectively as well as the superstar returns of George Fisher and Kadeen Corbin.

On Thursday, Mavs added two more of last year's fifth-placed squad to the roster which is edging closer to completion.

Mid-courter Marshall is back for a second year after a hugely impressive first season after her switch last year from Manchester Thunder, while Quashie will be in black and purple for a third year, having come through the Mavericks pathway system.

"Gabs is an incredibly hard working, resilient an skillful athlete she does not stop working in the midcourt and links our two ends really well.<p>Raz was paramount to our 2018 season and she is already a force to be reckoned with at the back going from strength to strength every year.

"I'm really looking forward to returning to benecos Mavericks this year," said Marshall who has recently been confirmed as a full-time member of the England Roses programme.

"While last season didn't end as planned, we laid some great foundations and combinations that we can continue to build on this season. I am also excited to work with our new signings as we aim to push for the top four and beyond."

"I'm very much looking forward to building on last season's performance and fighting for a spot at the top of the league."
