Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has praised how "physical" and "exciting" netball is.
Scholes was in attendance to watch Manchester Thunder defeat London Pulse 62-47 in the Netball Superleague on Monday night.
"It's a great game, an exciting game. It is very quick, skilful and athletic. I enjoy watching it," Scholes said.
"People have the wrong idea of netball as a 'girly' sport but it's not. It's so physical. There is a lot of contact.
"It's exciting to watch - it ebbs and flows."
Scholes, of course, is not the only Manchester United link to netball. Gary and Phil Neville's sister Tracey is the England Roses head coach.
