England Netball name Joanna Adams as chief executive

Joanna Adams has been named as the new chief executive of England Netball.

Adams, who will take up her new role on January 21, 2015, has been with England Netball since 2009 and was appointed as the body's commercial and marketing director in 2012.

Before joining, she had almost 20 years' experience in the sports industry and her previous roles include commercial director for the Football Conference and as a director at Notts County FC.

She said: "I am honoured and excited to take on this role. Netball is a sport with huge potential and we will be working with all of our stakeholders to make sure we fulfil it.

"I’d like to thank Paul Clark for the job he has done over the past few years and I look forward to helping the sport progress still further in terms of participation, as well as achieving increased on-court and commercial success."
