Netball London Live: watch Surrey Storm v Hertfordshire Mavericks on Sky Sports
Friday 6 March 2015 09:49, UK
Netball London Live will be biggest domestic match this country has ever seen, and you can watch it live on Sky Sports!
Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks return to the Copper Box Arena in 2015 to once again fight for the crown of top Superleague side in the South East.
Last year's epic narrowly went to Tamsin Greenway's Storm 52-50 and played a big part in Surrey's unbeaten run to the Grand Final.
Storm have been in terrific form so far this year, only dropping points to last year's championship winners Manchester Thunder, who they sit second in the table behind.
Mavericks have shown their usual class in 2015 but came unstuck in front of the Sky cameras on Monday night when they were dowed by Yorkshire Jets in Huddersfield.
Joining host Anna Woolhouse for the match will be Manchester Thunder coach Tracey Neville and former Surrey Storm player Natalie Seaton.
Mavericks and England star Sasha Corbin told @SkyNetball: "We are very excited as a team to be a part of such a huge spectacle for our sport domestically.
"It's massive because it's the closest we'll get to feeling like professional athletes performing in front of 6,000 people. I hope that one day this type of event will be the norm for our sport across the country.
"We always seem to have intense and sometimes even dramatic matches against Surrey Storm maybe because it's our local derby match and the crowd really seem to get involved.
"Storm are a very strong team this year, it's going to be tough from start to finish but we are definitely up for the challenge."
Her rival Wing Attack and Storm player-coach Tamsin Greenway told @SkyNetball she's really looking forward to the game:
"After last year's amazing NLL, i can't wait for Storm to take the court again at the Copperbox.
"To think that over 5,500 netball fans will be there to support just makes it even more special.
"It's still so early in the season, but this game has a real 'cup final' feel to it, the history between the two clubs and the strengths of both teams means Saturday is going to be one fantastic match. I can't wait."
Ones to watch
Sophia Candappa
The Mavericks Centre is a real star of the future and has been pushing her way into the England set-up recently. After missing most of 2014 with injury, Candappa is now ready to light up the league with her quick hands and fast feet.
Pamela Cookey
England co-captain Cookey is a legend of the game and a fine example to any budding Goal Attacks looking to improve their court-craft.
Surrey Storm player Mikki Austin will be on this week's Game Changers ahead of the big match. Tune into Sky 1 or Sky Sports 1 from 9am on Saturday for that.
Then switch over to Sky Sports 3 from 5.30pm to watch our live coverage of Netball London Live.
