Manchester Thunder get the better of Yorkshire Jets to finish third in Superleague

Yorkshire Jets finished their most successful season in the Netball Superleague with a narrow defeat to their Roses rivals Manchester Thunder in the third-fourth place play-off.
In a tight game, there was little to separate the sides with Thunder ahead after the first quarter, Jets ahead going into half-time and the scores level at the end of the third quarter.
It meant it was a crucial final 15 minutes and, as it had been throughout, the game was end-to-end for the majority. However, Thunder finished the stronger and ultimately took the win by six points 55-49.
It was a disappointing end to what has been Yorkshire Jets best performance since the Netball Superleague began – with 10 wins from 14 in the round robin stage of the competition and only being beaten by Surrey Storm and Manchester Thunder.
