Simon joined Sky Sports News as a presenter in July 2005 - after a successful stint on iconic children's TV show Blue Peter. Since then he has become one of the faces of Afternoon Update and Evening Report alongside Georgie Thompson - and only a few weeks after joining the channel he was on air when Michael Owen announced his move to Real Madrid. He was also one half of the Sky Sports News presenting team that fronted our daily World Cup Report shows from the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa. Away from Sky Sports News, Simon was the frontman for the first two series of the Saturday morning show, Cricket AM, and has also hosted live Football League broadcasts. Simon graduated from Birmingham University with a 2:1 BA Hons in History and got his big break as a Blue Peter presenter, spending six years on the show. In that time he met the Queen, sparred with Joe Calzaghe and Amir Khan and raced Darren Campbell, Frankie Fredericks and Jason Gardner over 60m - coming a "proud last" of course!
