The Shaun Harris-trained Expose defied a 5lb penalty for his recent Doncaster win to claim the William Hill Ayr Bronze Cup under David Nolan.

Drawn highest of all in stall 27, the 12/1 chance was settled in behind the pace on the stands side before finishing strongly to get the better of 25/1 outsider Iseemist.

My Name Is Rio and the front-running Dissent filled the places, with the gambled-on Mishall out of the frame.

Polski Max and Galvanise were withdrawn from the race after going down to the start.

When asked about the high draw, Harris told Racing UK: "I was smiling yesterday after the sprint, I was pretty delighted (Orient Class won the five-furlong handicap from stall 18).

"This is my biggest winner as a trainer by far.

"We've only had the horse a short time and he had a problem behind when he came but he's always had ability.

More from Racing

"The plan was to win at Linfield and get a penalty for Doncaster then come here, but he was beaten first time out for us - whe got there in the end.

"We haven't looked beyond today, but we'll have a look at the options."
