Eli Manning threw a late touchdown pass as the New York Giants rallied for a 30-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Manning engineered his 27th career game-winning fourth-quarter drive, connecting with tight end Larry Donnell on a 12-yard touchdown pass with 21 seconds left in one of his best regular season performances.
The Giants quarterback completed 41 of his 54 pass attempts for 441 yards and three touchdowns, the first of which came on a pass to Shane Vereen to give the Giants a 13-3 lead.
After a Phil Dawson field goal for the 49ers, Colin Kaepernick brought them level with a three-yard pass to Anquan Boldin, but Manning connected with Odell Beckham Jr from 17 yards to restore the Giants advantage.
The topsy-turvy game continued when Kaepernick again levelled the scores, hitting tight end Garrett Celek in the endzone for a five-yard score, only for Josh Brown to kick the Giants into a 23-20 lead with a 24-yard chip shot.
But with less than two minutes remaining, running back Carlos Hyde gave the 49ers a four-point lead, leaving Manning with limited time to turn things around again.
And that was just what he did, linking up with Vereen on three occasions as he marched the Giants down field and got into position to find Donnell for a spectacular catch made between two 49ers defenders to win the game and improve their record to 3-2.
