Britain's match racing trio bounced back well in Weymouth with four victories keeping their competition alive.
Sailors respond after difficult opening day in Portland
Britain's Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Kate Macgregor put in a much-improved performance on day two of the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta, taking four victories in the women's match racing.
Having lost three bouts yesterday, the trio found their rhythm today to overcome Portugal, Sweden, Australia and Denmark in the preliminary round-robin stage.
The wins keep alive their hopes of claiming a place in the quarter-finals, and McGregor admits today's successes have restored confidence.
"We had a good day today - it was good to get a few more points after a bit of a disappointing day yesterday," she said.
"We had some good wind, quite steady, which made it a bit easier than the conditions were yesterday. That suited us better - it was more on speed and match racing.
"It was all quite calm on board. We sailed the boat quite well, even in the pressured situations, so we were really pleased with how we were sailing."
Britain will take on the United States, Germany and France in the final round-robin races tomorrow.
Nick Dempsey and Bryony Shaw will also take to the water tomorrow, for the start of racing for the RS:X men's and women's windsurfing fleets.
