September 9: Tickets go on sale for Paralympic Games
December: Media centre construction complete
2012
February: Royal Docks cable car goes into operation
May 19: Torch relay begins 70-day journey in Land's End, Cornwall
July 15: Official opening of Olympic Village
July 27: Olympic Games opening ceremony
August 12: Olympic Games closing ceremony
August 29: Paralympic Games opening ceremony
September 9: Paralympics Games closing ceremony
September 14: Olympic park closes for development work
September 16: Athletes village closes and Olympic and Paralympic Route Networks come to an end
2013
August: Handover to Olympic Park Legacy Company and Olympic Park reopens to public
