The St Louis Cardinals will play the Texas Rangers in the World Series after a 12-6 win over Milwaukee on Sunday. The victory earned the wildcards a 4-2 win in the Major League's National League championship series. It was their 18th pennant in total. David Freese smashed a three-run homer in the opener and Albert Pujols stepped up to the plate once again as the Cardinals emerged victorious in Milwaukee. St Louis will now bid for their second Major League title in six years. The World Series begins in Missouri on Wednesday.
