Galileo Gold impressed in his racecourse gallop at Newmarket before racing but whether he runs in the English or French Guineas has still not been decided.

Hugo Palmer's colt pulled eight lengths clear of stable companion Strong Steps under Frankie Dettori, impressing those present on course.

"He looked good and the whole point of it was to make him feel pretty special," said Palmer.

"The horse will go home really believing in himself, which is what we want. The last time Frankie was on him they got beat and it's important they believe in each other.

"As you can see, the horse is still quite mentally immature but it was nice for him to do that.

"We'll keep our options open but he loved that ground out there.

"He's more likely to get that in France, but we'll leave him in the Guineas until the last minute."
