Catterick's National Hunt meeting on Monday must survive an 8am precautionary inspection.
The going at the Richmondshire venue is currently soft, good to soft in places but a cold spell is the problem.
Possible snow showers are forecast Sunday evening with overnight lows of -1C possible.
Monday should be bright and cold with a maximum temperature of 4C.
As a result clerk of the course Fiona Needham felt it was prudent to call a check.
