A preview of the pick of the rest of Friday's action from the first day of Newmarket's Dubai Future Champions Festival.
Mrs Danvers was "the horse nobody wanted" yet she has the chance to stretch her unbeaten record to five races in the Newmarket Academy Godolphin Beacon Project Cornwallis Stakes on Friday.
Having cost just £1,000 at Tattersalls Ireland sales in February, few could possibly have predicted that she would end up winning over £150,000 in prize-money in her first season.
But that she has done, with victory in the Super Sprint at Newbury backed up by winning a Listed race over the same course and distance.
Trainer Jonathan Portman said: "This was the logical race and she seems well enough now. She did go a bit off-colour, so it has been a race against time to get her back, but I think we've managed it.
"I'm happy with her now and I just hope the fairytale continues.
"She's a little bit dull in her coat but I'm not concerned about that as we won this a couple of years ago with Royal Razalma and she looked like a Shetland pony.
"She has been on the go a while but we haven't over-raced her, she's had just the four runs. I really hope for her sake she remains unbeaten but I know she can't stay unbeaten forever.
"She's been a marvellous story. She's by an unfashionable stallion (Hellvelyn), for small breeders, a small trainer and a group of 92 owners.
"She was the horse nobody wanted but she owes us nothing."
In opposition are Royal Ascot winner Prince Of Lir, Mark Johnston's Molecomb hero Yalta and Clem Fandango.
Aidan O'Brien's Cougar Mountain was a hugely impressive winner of the Joel Stakes and returns to Headquarters for the seven-furlong Dubai 100 Challenge Stakes.
However, he faces a furlong less and must carry a penalty
"He's in good form since the last day," said O'Brien.
"It's a furlong shorter but he's a horse we've always thought had plenty of speed. He has to carry a penalty as well but he's in good form."
Another horse burdened with a penalty is John Gosden's Richard Pankhurst, who failed to follow up his win in the Hungerford Stakes when beaten favourite in the Park Stakes at Doncaster.
"Richard Pankhurst did not act on the loose ground at Doncaster last time and will be suited by the faster going at Newmarket," Gosden told www.godolphin.com.
Roger Varian sends Certificate out again after he went close at Redcar on Saturday.
"We are backing Certificate up quickly, but he ran a tremendous race in the Guisborough Stakes and that looked an above-average renewal for the level," the Newmarket handler told www.varianstable.com.
"He looks well worth his place in this line-up and the ground is set to be in his favour. I don't think he needs too much more on form to be a genuine win contender."
