Connections of the latest Frankel newcomer to make a winning debut admit they can look forward to some "nice entries" next season after Mirage Dancer flew home at Doncaster.

Sent off the 7-4 favourite, victory looked unlikely for Sir Michael Stoute's youngster with two furlongs to run as Ryan Moore was hard at work.

But he really picked up close home, showing a fine turn of foot to beat Tafaakhor by half a length.

In winning the second division of the 188Bet British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes, Mirage Dancer became the 13th newcomer from Frankel's first crop to win first time out and was an 18th individual scorer for the superstar.

"He's a nice, scopey colt," said Teddy Grimthorpe, owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager.

"The way the race worked out he settled behind the pace nicely and then when they started to drift left it worked in his favour.

"There was a lovely gap on the rail and he was good enough to take it.

"He's a horse we've always liked and next year should be the interesting one.

"It's early days to be talking about what's next, but given his pedigree and looks we can look forward to giving him all the nice entries."

Moore later doubled up when Speed Company (8-1) claimed the Free Spins At 188Bet Casino Handicap for John Quinn.

There was a 33-1 shock in the Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager Handicap when Roger Fell's Muntadab made just about all the running to beat Get Knotted by a neck.

"He was very game," said jockey PJ McDonald.

"I thought this lad would win the Ayr Silver Cup but he was drawn on the wrong side.

"Last time out it was seven furlongs but back at six (furlongs) he really stuck his neck out and was going away again at the line."

Another to make all was Richard Hannon's Mutawatheb (5-2 favourite) in the opening Mobile Betting At 188Bet Nursery Handicap.

After beating Tis Marvellous, who subsequently won the Prix Robert Papin, and Salouen (second in the Jean-Luc Lagadere) at Newbury in June he has been a bit disappointing.

He returned to winning ways under forceful tactics, holding off Society Red by a neck.

Rider Paul Hanagan said: "He relished the step up in trip and he showed a great attitude in the finish.

"After a promising start he'd been a bit disappointing, really, so it's nice to get him winning again."

Hannon doubled up with Fleeting Motion (25-1) under Tom Marquand in the 188Bet.co.uk British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

A gelding operation made a big difference to Hyde Park, who won the first division of Mirage Dancer's race for John Gosden.

"He'd been a bit disappointing, really, as he always worked well at home," said Frankie Dettori.

"Since we've gelded him he's turned inside out and it's fair to say he had his mind on the job.

"I got an easy lead but he's won quite well (five lengths) in the end."

Tom Queally came from last to first on Cape Cova (4-1) to give Gosden a double in the Hague Print Solutions Handicap.
