It was a golden Monday for one Sky Bet customer after landing a huge payout from an each-way multiple bet.
On a relatively quiet day following the highs of Derby weekend at Epsom and the Triple Crown being landed across the Atlantic, one punter from Rotherham was celebrating a bumper win, which could have been even greater had First Answer delivered the goods at Flamingo Park.
The 25/1 shot finished third, but victories for 10/1 chance Up And Running (also at virtual course Flamingo Park), Quick N Quirky (25/1) and Stoneboat Bill (7/1) at Thirsk, as well as 14/1 outsider Dark Defender in the 2.30 at Ayr, meant the 20p each-way Canadian returned a whopping £27,000.
If all five had won the dividends would have totalled £426,000 a Canadian actually being 26 small bets of doubles, trebles, four-folds and a five-selection acca.
