The rest of the news from Doncaster, where Norwegian raider Easy Road covered the travel costs in some style.

Easy Road (14/1) made the trip to Britain a successful one in the betdaq.com 2% Commission Handicap.

Dane O'Neill brought Easy Road with a sustained run up against the far rail to give Norwegian trainer Cathrine Erichsen a notable success.

"There was nothing left at home for him so I looked at races here for him and went for this," she said.

"It costs a lot of money to travel, I really stuck my neck out. My worry was the pace would be too slow compared to at home, so I brought him back in distance.

"Peter Doyle bought him at the breeze-ups for me here, so it's nice to win a race here with him.

"We maybe will look at Royal Ascot next year, who knows?"

O'Neill doubled up on the Charlie Hills-trained B Fifty Two (14/1), who landed his first win over seven furlongs in the Join Racing Post Members' Club Conditions Stakes.

Argus looks to have a bright future after landing a third career victory in the Bet Through The Racing Post App Handicap.

Ralph Beckett"s three-year-old was sent off the 9/4 favourite and he stayed on powerfully to reel in Jim Goldie's Mistiroc close home.

Beckett feels he is the perfect November Handicap candidate but is worried the race may come too soon.

"He's a nice prospect," said Beckett of the Andrea Atzeni-ridden winner.

"He's had lots of problems, mainly with his feet, and he had another blip in the summer.

"I think he'd be the perfect candidate for the November Handicap but whether it might all be happening too soon, I don't know."

Atzeni, who had also taken the Racing Post Trophy with 33/1 chance Marcel, brought up a treble when Mick Channon's Scrutineer (10/11 favourite) laughed at an opening mark of 80 in the betdaq.com - Serious About Racing Nursery Handicap.

The trainer's son and assistant Michael said: "I thought 80 was very fair. Andrea has just got off and said he thinks he could be a 100 horse.

"He threw a splint in the summer, otherwise he could have been an Ascot horse.

"We've no idea how good he is, he's an enigma."

It was not all good news for Atzeni as he picked up a total ban of six days, two for using his whip in the wrong place on Argus and and four for excessive use on Marcel. He will miss November 7, 9 and 10-13 inclusive.

The crownhotel-bawtry.com Apprentice Jockeys' Training Series Final Handicap went to the Michael Dods-trained Sea Wolf (5/1), ridden by Phil Dennis.
