Bumper entry for 2017 Derby

A total of 416 yearlings have been entered for the 2017 Investec Derby, which boasts improved prize-money of £1.5million.

There is a second entry stage on April 7, 2017 which costs £9,000 or horses can be added to the field at the supplementary stage on May 29, 2017 at a cost of £85,000.

Having owned three of the last four Derby winners the Coolmore triumvirate of John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith have 59 entries, including a full-brother to 2013 hero Ruler Of The World.

Godolphin have 54 possibles, among them a 2.6m euro colt by Dubawi in training with Andre Fabre.

Frankel has 24 yearlings from his first crop engaged but there are 63 by Galileo and 33 by Dubawi.
