David O'Meara's French import Lord Of The Land is among 85 horses standing their ground at the five-day stage for the Betway Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster on Saturday.

The five-year-old entire, who cost 110,000 euros out of Andre Fabre's stable, will try to make up for the narrow defeat of compatriot Mondialiste who went within a quarter of a length of landing the big race on his British debut last season.

O'Meara has also left in Birdman and King To Be, although the latter's only real chance of a run would be in the consolation race, the Betway Spring Mile, on the same card.

Lord Of The Land has been backed into favouritism at around 9-1 in the ante-post market ahead of the lightly-raced Mitraad, who is fancied to give trainer William Haggas a fourth win in the first major handicap of the Flat turf season.

Haggas also has Predominance, who could struggle to make the cut for the main event.

Jeremy Noseda's Keystroke remains in the list and his prospects of making the final field improved after picking up a 5lb penalty for a success at Wolverhampton earlier this month, while the Shalfleet trainer can also call on valuable Wolverhampton handicap winner Bravo Zolo.
