Richard Fahey: Senator to rule

Third Time Lucky - in great order ahead of Betfred Mile

We've gone with the softly-softly approach with Senator so far but he takes a step up in trip - and class - for Friday's Weatherbys Stallion Book Flying Scotsman Stakes.

He's won both his starts and is a nice horse but can be a bit keen which is why we've stuck to six furlongs before now.

I'm sure seven will suit him and as the handicapper won't give him a mark and I don't want to run him under a double penalty, this is the race we're going for. He has to step up but we don't know how good he is.

Nuno Tristan has had a busy time of it of late. He seems fine at home and if recent exertions haven't taken a toll he'd look to have a solid chance in the Coopers Marquees Handicap.

Temerity is a filly that's progressing and she runs in the Champagne Pommery Nursery at Doncaster on Saturday. I thought she ran well at Newcastle last time and as long as the ground doesn't get too quick, and I don't think it will, she will run a good race. She's in top form at home.

Third Time Lucky won four races last season but paid the price with the handicapper. He ran much better at York last time and goes in the Napoleons Casinos & Restaurants Handicap.

The plan is to head back to the Cambridgeshire, a race he won last year, and I wanted to get another run under his belt as he needs racing. He's in good form at home and we're happy with him.

Abiento has had tough tasks on his last two starts and drops in grade for the Howden Joinery/EBF Stallions Maiden Stakes at Chester. If he got it all together he'd have a chance here and is well drawn in two.

The draw hasn't been so kind to Boundsy who is out in ten for the Betway Nursery. It's a shame as this is his right trip and track but he'll need lots of luck from out there.

Masamah is being kept busy and turns out again quickly in the ChesterBET Handicap. He's run well the last twice and if in the same form here would go close again.

Gabridan has been very disappointing. She's no back-number on what we see at home but her form on the track has been very ordinary. She got brought down on her debut and perhaps that knocked her confidence but we try again in the Coast To Coast Nursery at Musselburgh.

La Contessa is coming along with racing and would have a chance in the Deuchers IPA Handicap while Gabrial The Terror is capable of going close in the Three Hop Handicap at his best.

Our final runner is Withernsea in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. 'Sovereign Path' Handicap at Leopardstown. He was second in the race last year and is in good form at home. Any rain would help.
