Star sprinting filly Quiet Reflection could have a racecourse gallop at Redcar on Thursday ahead of an intended return to competitive action later this month.

Karl Burke's daughter of Showcasing enjoyed a fantastic campaign in 2016, winning four of her six starts including Group One victories in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot and the Sprint Cup at Haydock.

She was also third in the July Cup at Newmarket and rounded off her season by finishing seventh in Ascot's British Champions Sprint.

Burke is pleased with how his four-year-old is training ahead of her return in either the Duke of York Stakes on May 17 or the Temple Stakes at Haydock 10 days later.

"She's in great form and I'm thinking of taking her for a day out after racing at Redcar on Thursday. I think that will do her good," said the Spigot Lodge-based trainer.

"At the moment I'm favouring going to Haydock for the Temple with her, but it all depends if there's 'soft' in the going description.
