Roscommon washed away after overnight rain

This evening meeting at Roscommon has been abandoned as part of the course is unfit for racing.

Twelve millimetres of rain fell overnight and there were further showers on Monday morning.

An eight-race card was to have featured the 25,000 euro Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Race.

Horse Racing Ireland tweeted: "Following a further 4mm of rain since 9am and with more rain forecast @RoscommonRaces is abandoned as part of the track is unfit to race."
