Jockey Danny Tudhope will not take up his rides at Chelmsford this afternoon after suffering a fall at Catterick on Wednesday.

Tudhope was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough for precautionary X-rays when he was unseated from the fatally-injured Wild Approach during a five-furlong handicap at the North Yorkshire circuit.

Tudhope had three booked mounts at Chelmsford, but is expected to return to the saddle for six rides at Thirsk on Friday.

Tudhope's agent Laura Way said: "He's fine. He's just a bit sore and won't be riding today, but hopefully he'll be back tomorrow.
