Owner JP McManus has moved former Relkeel Hurdle winner Karabak from Alan King to Eddie Harty in Ireland.
Now an eight-year-old, the son of Kahyasi also finished second to Mikael D'Haguenet in the 2009 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle and fourth to Big Buck's in the World Hurdle 12 months later.
However, he swerved the Festival last season and was pulled up at Aintree in April on his final start.
Part of the reason for moving him is the fact Big Buck's is unlikely to show up in Ireland any time soon.
"He came to me at the end of the summer," confirmed Harty.
"They felt by moving him to Ireland it would give the horse a few more options.
"But one thing's for sure, Eddie Harty is unlikely to improve a horse from Alan King, it's just that there's a few nice races over here that he could go for.
"I think one of the main thinking points is that Big Buck's probably won't be coming over here.
"So, once he's ready, we'll have a cut and see where he is.
"I've got nothing in mind, he's only been in training six weeks and hasn't done anything serious yet."
