Racegoers Club vote for course awards

Ripon regained the title they held in 2009 by being award "Best Small Racecourse in the North". Organised by the Racegoers Club, the annual awards are the racing industry's most keenly contested accolades. With Racegoers Club members going racing an average of 31 times per year, no one could be better qualified to pass judgement or more critical of the standards. "This is a great accolade for all the staff at Ripon and pays great reward for the fantastic work they've all put in this season. I couldn't be happier" James Hutchinson, Clerk of the Course and Managing Director. Ripon have now been awarded with the title in 1996, 2003, 2009 and now again in 2011, and next year they will undoubtedly be pushing for it again. This year's award follows substantial maintenance and refurbishment work including work on the sewerage system and complete revamp in the Paddock Toilets.
