Colebrooke survived a stewards' enquiry to land the 32Red Poker Juvenile Hurdle from Soliwery.
Renee Robeson's charge (11-2) was giving weight to his main rivals Soliwery and Fire Fighter, but showed plenty of guts late on to have his head in front at the line under Brendan Powell.
Nicky Henderson's Soliwery (11-10 fav) tried his best up the run-in but couldn't overhaul the winner, however the pair came close together in the final two furlongs and a stewards' enquiry was immediately called.
However the officials deemed that despite only winning by a short head, the interference made no difference to the result.
Alan King's Fire Fighter wasn't beaten far in third, but a poor jump at the last flight halted his momentum and he was beaten half a length further back.
Nick Brown, spokesman for winning owners the TMT Grand syndicate, said: "He didn't cost a great deal of money from Mark Johnston but he has got better and better.
"He's very tough and really wants further, but soft ground helps him. We hadn't thought further than today as with Mr King and Mr Henderson involved, we thought we'd be fighting for the places."
