The evening fixture at Beverley has been abandoned due to waterlogging

This evening's meeting at Beverley, due to feature the Hilary Needler Trophy, has been abandoned following heavy rain at the East Yorkshire venue.
Raceday clerk of the course John Morley was forced to call a noon inspection with significant rain falling on already soft ground.
That check showed the track to be unraceable due to a patch of standing water on the track.
Morley said: "We have an area of standing water that is too wide to doll out and we have further rain forecast, so we have made a decision now.
"We had plenty of rain overnight and then this morning so it's not been in our favour."
