Mecca's Angel carried on where she left off last year by recording her second Group Three triumph in the Prix de Saint-Georges at Longchamp.

Michael Dods' filly graduated from handicaps through to Listed company before signing off 2014 in style at Newbury in September and repeated the dose in Paris.

Handy from the start, Paul Mulrennan brought her with a well-timed challenge to head Hot Streak in the final furlong and pull away from the opposition.

Robert Le Diable grabbed the runner-up spot, coming from well of the pace, with the Kevin Ryan-trained Hot Streak third ahead of favourite Catcall - bidding for a third consecutive win in the race - and Maarek, who made late gains having been well in rear during the early stages.
