Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek felt French superstar Treve oozed positivity in a routine piece of work on Monday morning.

The five-year-old mare made an uplifting seasonal debut in the Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud late last month as she takes aim at an unprecedented third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe victory in the autumn.

Treve's next assignment is in the Group One Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on June 28.

Head-Maarek said: "The champ is very well and looks in great form, never better.

"She had a little canter (on Monday morning) and there were no problems - she looked perfect. She is all set for Saint-Cloud."

Meanwhile, Treve's stablemate Full Mast will return to Group One company in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly next month after his promising return to the fray on Saturday.

The three-year-old son of Mizzen Mast overcame a long absence to finish a short-neck second behind the race-fit Almanaar in the Prix Paul de Moussac.

Head-Maarek said: "I was very happy with Full Mast because it was his first run back and it wasn't easy giving 6lb to good horses.

"The horse looked superb and has lost no ability, I don't think.

"He has come back well from the race and we will now run him in the Jean Prat on July 12."

Full Mast has officially defeated dual Guineas winner Gleneagles after the latter was demoted by the Longchamp stewards into third place after the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on Arc weekend last October.
