David Lanigan has pencilled in the EBF Stallions Highfield Farm Flying Fillies' Stakes at Pontefract on Sunday as the next stopping point for smart sprinter Interception.

The five-year-old mare will revert to Listed company for the six-furlong contest as she bids to bounce back from a disappointing effort on her first try at Pattern level in the Summer Stakes at York last month.

Prior to her below-par effort in that Group Three, the daughter of Raven's Pass had demonstrated her credentials when running out an impressive winner of the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He said: "I knew she would come on a ton for her race at Haydock and her win in the Wokingham was no surprise.

"But when she came back from York she was in season.
