Talented stayer High Jinx will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a setback.

Trainer James Fanshawe has confirmed that last year's Prix du Cadran winner will not return to action until next year after sustaining a leg injury back in June.

The seven-year-old has made just one appearance this term, finishing fourth behind Alex My Boy in the Group Three Prix de Barbeville at Longchamp back in May.

"High Jinx is out for the rest of the season," said the Newmarket handler.

"About a week after Royal Ascot he was lame and he suffered a hairline crack in his tibia, which is something that will take time to get better.

"It was going to be touch and go whether he would be ready for the autumn staying races so we felt it best to leave him until next season."
