Connections of Divine may go in search of more black type for the four-year-old filly on the back of her Listed victory at Pontefract.

Mick Channon's charge had been knocking at the door in big handicaps and Pattern events before gaining her just rewards in the Highfield Farm Flying Fillies' Stakes.

With that Listed race in the bag, Divine could go for Group races or even contest another valuable handicap, with the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup mentioned as a possible assignment.

"She's a filly who thoroughly deserved that win," said Channon's son and assistant, Michael jnr.

"We'd run her in Group company to get that black type. She did it very nicely.

"I'm not sure what her owners want to do. She's a filly we value and we'd love to keep her racing as a five-year-old as she will be even better next year.

"Ayr will be on the horizon, but I'm not sure what the targets are at the minute.

"We'll try to make her as good as we can before the end of the year."

Stablemate Malabar is to have her next race in America following her victory in the Group Three Thoroughbred Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

"She's great, she's off to America to run at Belmont in a Grade Two," said Channon jnr.
