Chindit can give trainer Richard Hannon a second Qipco 2000 Guineas success in the colts Classic at Newmarket.
The Marlborough handler took the tried-and-tested route with Chindit, by running him in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury two weeks ago.
Night Of Thunder, who won the Guineas for Hannon in 2014, was runner-up to Kingman in the seven-furlong Group Three before turning the tables in the big race itself.
Night Of Thunder was sent off 40-1 that day, whereas Chindit will start at only a fraction of those odds after getting his three-year-old campaign off to a flier in the Greenham.
Chindit may have only got home in a finish of necks, but he was on top at the line to suggest there could be more improvement to come when he is stepped up to a mile.
He was beaten just once as a two-year-old, and that was over this course in the Dewhurst Stakes, but he can be forgiven that because he was denied a clear run when about to make his move and could never get into a challenging position afterwards.
Having shown he has trained on, Chindit can keep the Aidan O'Brien team at bay to clinch Classic glory.
Pyledriver could not quite achieve those heights last season, but he could go on to achieve Group One greatness in 2021.
The Derby did not work out for him, but he ran a great race to finish third in the St Leger over an extended mile and three-quarters - a trip that just found him out.
He did win two Group Twos for trainer William Muir last year in the King Edward VII Stakes and the Great Voltigeur Stakes.
The Lambourn trainer, who has now joined forces with Chris Grassick, has high hopes for Pyledriver this year.
Another Group Two triumph in the Betfair Exchange Jockey Club Stakes would be just what the new combination are looking for.
Garrus has returned in fine heart in just two runs so far this year and has plenty going for him in the Betfair Palace House Stakes.
At levels in this Group Three, Charlie Hills' grey is weighted to reverse the form of his narrow Newbury handicap defeat behind the re-opposing Came From The Dark two weeks ago.
Conditions should suit him again, and he advertised his well-being with a comfortable Wolverhampton success in March - having had wind surgery and been gelded during a 20-month absence.
Garrus was competitive up to Group Two class as a three-year-old, so this is very much a realistic assignment.
Mohaafeth has made a good start to his three-year-old season with wins at Lingfield and over the same mile-and-a-quarter trip he faces again in the Betfair Newmarket Stakes.
The William Haggas-trained son of Frankel looks very much on the upgrade and can graduate to Listed company.
Haggas can also land a decent prize at Goodwood, with Lilac Road in the MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Conqueror Fillies' Stakes.
The daughter of Mastercraftsman was beaten only two lengths when fourth to Indigo Girl in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster.
That form gives her every chance of lifting this Listed contest.
Hortzadar was slightly disappointing at Newmarket last time, but is worth another chance in the Thirsk Hunt Cup at the North Yorkshire track.
Things did not work out for David O'Meara's six-year-old at headquarters, where he was beaten just two and a quarter lengths when sixth of seven to Overwrite.
Hortzadar is better judged on his previous start in the Lincoln at Doncaster when he was third behind Haqeeqy.
Should he repeat that performance, then he could prove hard to beat.
