Trainer eyes two Gold Cup challengers.
Ferdy Murphy says his charge L'Antartique will be going for gold again next year as he aims him at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Murphy's seven-year-old won the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Prestbury Park on Saturday and has been delighted with the way he has come out of the race.
The trainer now has high hopes for L'Antartique and is plotting a route to the Festival next spring and the showpiece event - the Gold Cup.
"He has come out of the race great which is so important to us," said Murphy.
"You need to go on as he will get plenty of weight in handicaps and consequently has to go into conditons races like the Lexus and the Pillar and then hopefully the Gold Cup. "That's what you dream about and looks like the road we are going to go down.
"He has won both of his races around Cheltenham and you don't do that with an ordinary horse.
"He is only seven and will improve again in the spring. He is crying out for a trip so he is a nice one to have."
Hennessy
Murphy also has gold in his sights with New Alco, who is in fine form heading into the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.
After a winning seasonal bow at Carlisle at the start of November, New Alco is in great spirits with the Newbury feature approaching on 1st December.
"He goes to the Hennessy and did a sparkling piece of work on Tuesday morning with Aces Four," Murphy added.
"We couldn't be happier with him. Everything has gone right, his first run was brilliant and he has trained wonderfully since.
"The Hennessy can't come soon enough for him.
"He's spot on at the moment and I wish the race was this weekend!
"I just need to keep him safe for another week."
