This afternoon's meeting at Ayr has been abandoned due to a frozen track.
Clerk of the course Katherine Self staged a hastily-arranged inspection at 8.15am after overnight temperatures dropped to minus-two degrees.
That initial check proved inconclusive so Self took another look at 10am.
While temperatures rose slightly after daybreak, there was still too much frost in the ground to allow racing to go ahead.
Ayr spokesman Iain Ferguson said: "It's a lovely, sunny day but the temperature did not rise as quickly as we wanted it to. There is still frost around so we've had to abandon."
