Richard Hannon jnr believes Tale Untold can put her experience to good use in the Juvenile Fillies Turf at Churchill Downs on Friday.
Two-year-old fancied to run a big race
Richard Hannon jnr believes
Tale Untold can put her racecourse experience to good use as she takes a leap in class for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.
The Tale Of The Cat filly will be having her fifth start of the year in the Grade Two heat and arrives on the back of a narrow second in an ultra-competitive sales race at Newmarket.
She had also filled the runner-up spot in a similar event at Headquarters but is facing a stiff task as she makes the switch to Pattern company.
However, Hannon jnr, who is assistant to his trainers' championship-winning father, does not expect the filly to wilt under pressure.
"She's very, very tough," he said.
"She's a very, very nice filly. She's not very big, but she's got a heart like a lion. She tries very hard and she's very tough.
"She's had a few races now, so she's battle-hard. She'll have a good chance, hopefully."
Tale Untold will be having her last start for the Hannon team after being purchased by Marc Keller to race for New York-based trainer Richard Ribaudo.
Together represents Aidan O'Brien in the mile heat after a season which began with defeat at Naas in May.
The Galileo filly will be having her eighth start of the year but O'Brien feels she is capable of improving again after being edged out in the Group One Fillies' Miles at Ascot back in September.
She finished behind Tale Untold in third at Newmarket when she threw away what looked to be a winning chance by drifting across the track.
Hardy lady
O'Brien said: "She's a hardy lady and the racing brings her on we think. Her coat is very tight still and she's in very good form.
"We think the left-handed track will suit her well and we think the fast ground will suit her too.
"Obviously it's been a long season for her but she's in very good order for a filly which is unusual at this time of year.
"At Ascot, she was coming back at her (winner White Moonstone) at every stride and we always thought she was a good filly.
"She's a very hardy filly and is by Galileo which is a big factor," he told At The Races.
