Mick Potter agrees deal to become Fiji coach

Former Bradford, St Helens and Catalans Dragons coach Mick Potter has been appointed as Fiji's new head coach.
Potter, 52, twice Super League coach of the year and current assistant to Nathan Brown at Newcastle Knights, will be in charge for the Bati's Test match against Papua New Guinea at Parramatta Stadium, Sydney, on May 7.
Fiji National Rugby League chief executive Timoci Naleba said at the announcement that Potter has signed a short-term contract and that further discussions would take place at the end of the year regarding the 2017 World Cup.
