Salford move into new purpose-built 12,000 capacity stadium
Following 111 years at The Willows, Salford City Reds have relocated to their new home in The City of Salford Community Stadium.
The new £16 million development has replaced the historic Willows venue whilst increasing the Reds' capacity to 12,000 ahead of the new Super League season.
The stadium, which the Reds graced on Tuesday night as they lost to Challenge Cup champions Wigan Warriors in a pre-season friendly, boasts various facilities with built-in offices, hospitality boxes, community resources and outdoor sports pitches available for business and public hire.

And Salford chief executive David Tarry believes the new home shows just how much the club has developed.
"This is a testament to the strength of the club and how far we have come with our chairman," he said.
"It has taken us 14 years to get us where we are today and it's been a long battle. But to see two teams run out here is fantastic."
The Reds will start their new campaign on February 4 when they host Castleford Tigers at their new home and coach Phil Veivers is excited by the atmosphere in the new stadium.
"It's a nice open arena, everyone I have spoken to is excited by it, it's a beautiful stadium and fantastic set-up," he added.
